Where does your company actually stand with AI?
Eighteen statements. About ten minutes. No technical knowledge required. You receive a readiness scorecard showing your current level, your profile across the nine dimensions that have to move together, and the two or three constraints to fix first.
Built on the Curated Analytics Capability Maturity Model, the same diagnostic our Chief AI Officers use in the first 30 days of an engagement.
- Your readiness level, 1 to 5
- A nine-dimension profile
- Your top constraints
- Recommended leadership focus
A 30-minute readout with a Chief AI Officer to walk through what your results mean and what to do first.
- Owners and CEOs
- Presidents and COOs
- Executive teams
Readiness is not how much AI you have deployed. It is whether nine things are moving together.
Advanced deployment with weak governance, poor data, or no accountable owner is not high maturity. It is concentrated exposure. The next level is reached when strategy, workflows, data, technology, governance, workforce, ownership, and value advance together.
- One
Strategy and leadership
Executive commitment, a focused agenda, funding, and accountability.
- Two
Use cases and process integration
Selection, prioritization, redesign, and integration into real work.
- Three
Data readiness
Quality, access, ownership, privacy, and fitness for the intended use.
- Four
Technology and architecture
Approved tools, integration, security, and the ability to reuse what works.
- Five
Governance and responsible AI
Policy, risk classification, oversight, transparency, and controls.
- Six
Workforce and adoption
Literacy, role-based skills, engagement, change management, and behavior.
- Seven
Operating model
Ownership, decision rights, delivery processes, and cross-functional coordination.
- Eight
Value realization
Baselines, benefits, cost, performance indicators, and portfolio decisions.
- Nine
Continuous improvement
Monitoring, feedback, optimization, incident response, and retirement.
Rate each statement as it is true today, not as you would like it to be.
Honest answers produce a useful scorecard. There are no wrong results, only a clearer picture of where to focus.
Where to focus first
Your three lowest-scoring dimensions, and the leadership move that unblocks each one.
From isolated activity to an AI-shaped operating model.
Skills accumulate rather than reset. Each level combines deeper technical and governance capability with stronger business ownership and workforce adoption. Maturity can also go backwards when adoption outruns control.
- 1
Unaware or prohibited
AI is not managed as a capability. Use is absent, banned, or happening through unrecognized tools. No owner, strategy, or inventory. Leadership focus: visibility, an interim policy, and a sponsor.
- 2
Experimental
Individuals and teams test AI through isolated pilots and personal use. Learning is real but fragmented. Benefits are measured through stories. Leadership focus: a ranked portfolio and measured learning.
- 3
Managed
AI is coordinated through a program. Strategy, governance, delivery, and benefits management are repeatable. The roadmap aligns to business priorities. Leadership focus: a production path, owners, and benefits.
- 4
Scaled
AI is embedded in multiple core workflows. Shared platforms, controls, and skills support reuse. Performance, cost, and outcomes are monitored. Leadership focus: reuse, monitoring, and job redesign.
- 5
Transformative
AI is integral to strategy and operating-model design. The organization continuously redesigns products, services, and work. There is no terminal state. Leadership focus: advantage, adaptation, and trust.
Reassess at least every six months and after major changes in strategy, platforms, regulation, or risk exposure. If usage grows faster than controls, skills, or ownership, the rating should go down, and the constraint should be funded.
Before you begin.
How long does it take, and who should complete it?
About ten minutes. It is written for owners, CEOs, presidents, and executive team members. No technical background is needed. If several leaders complete it separately, the differences in their answers are often the most useful finding of all.
What happens with my answers?
Your results appear on this page immediately and a copy is emailed to you. We use your email only to send the scorecard and, if you request one, to schedule a readout call. We do not share your answers or your contact details with anyone.
Is the readout call a sales pitch?
No. It is 30 minutes with a Chief AI Officer walking through what your results mean and what to do first. Most leaders leave with two or three concrete actions they can take without us. If a Fractional CAIO engagement is the right next step, we will say so. If it is not, we will say that too.
How is the level calculated?
Each of the nine dimensions is scored from two statements. Your overall level reflects the average across all nine, because the model rewards balance: a high score in technology cannot compensate for a low score in governance or ownership. Your three lowest dimensions are the constraints most likely to block your next level.
Turn uncertainty into an executable strategy.
A 30-minute conversation with one of our Chief AI Officers. No pitch, no deck. Just an experienced executive's read on where your company stands and what to do next. You will leave with a clearer picture, whether or not we work together.
